Slideshow test

Monday, September 25th, 2006

This is something I’ve been working on over the last few days. It’s a WordPress plugin that takes a Zooomr or Flickr photo stream and displays it as a slideshow on your page. It’s only tested on Firefox just now, so if it works in IE, it’s pure luck. More details soon, but for now enjoy this feed of the ’starjump’ tag from Zooomr, especially the flippin sweet martial arts ones.

Update: status and documentation of the plugin is at wp-plugins.net.

Hint: click a thumbnail and a bigger version of the image will appear. More thumbnails will appear as necessary, but only 5 are shown at one time.

Sunrise over Bagan

sunrise over bagan

This is a great photo. It looks more like a painting. I was never any good at critical analysis in art class. Go and take a closer look for yourself. I found it via Flickr Hits (again).

You could easily spend hours trawling through Zooomr and Flickr. Ok, maybe you couldn’t, but I could.

Finally, all my Canada photos are up

Friday, September 8th, 2006

That’s it done! Almost 300 photos selected from the 1988 photos I took while in Canada. Yes, that’s a lot of photos, even the cut-down list. That’s why it’s taken me so long. If you want to see them all, start here.

It’s worth giving a nod to jUploadr here (a photo uploader for Zooomr and Flickr). I couldn’t have done all this without it.

Now all that’s left to do is put up the Callander Beer Fest photos, the Glen Vrackie Photos, and all the hundreds of old photos I took down before moving to this new server.

Oh bugger it, I’m off to the pub.

New photos up

Quick note: more photos are up on Zooomr, from the start of the road trip up to Jasper.
