Flickr photoset as a slideshow : proof of concept
Once again demonstrating the power of xslt, here is a Flickr photoset pulled into a slideshow. The actual photoset is here.
I’ll explain how I did it tomorrow, and attempt the same for Zooomr. Time for bed, at last!

is there a way for you to push through the photo captions?

There wasn’t, but there is now if you grab the latest version. It’s pretty primitive though. It just sets the alt and title attributes of the main image to that of the thumbnail so that the caption appears as you hover over the image. I’d like to eventually display a title, but have very little spare time just now to work on this.
Cheers,
Dave
p.s. by latest version, I mean the one in the subversion repository. You may have to wait for that to propagate to the zip provided at Wordpress Plugins page.

Dave, this is unbelievable plugin.
What about the sizes of the photos though? What if you had photos of different sizes, or that are of high resolution/or higher quality.
Can it work with various sizes?

Also, have you thought about an addition to this - For example, having ability for someone to Email a particular photo within the slideshow to a friend, or even the whole slideshow as a link?

Cheers Darrin,
At the moment, all sizing is performed via style sheets, with the photo being proportionally stretched or shrunk to the size of the slideshow window. If you want a larger slideshow, you’ll have to fiddle with the css provided.
I like your suggestion about the email link, and may add it to a future version. However, I have next to no spare time at the moment, and for the next few months, so won’t be doing it any time soon. Feel free to hack away at it though. I will consider patches.
Cheers,
Dave.
